Walden
Community Service Corner
Walden
school has often taken the initiative to offer ways for our families to join together
in worthy projects. Once again, wed like to extend help to some of the neediest
families in the Houston area. The Family Centered Child Care Collaborative, which
Walden is a part of, has a participating school which only takes homeless children.
The school is House
of Tiny Treasures. If your
family would like to help a child this season, please inquire at the office about
a project we will be taking on. A list of the children is forthcoming. See the
office for updates.
Thanks
Firefighters!
Wed
like to thank the Firefighters from the Sugar Land Fire Department, Station 4
for visiting with the Walden School children during October and Fire Prevention
Week. The children enjoyed seeing the shiny red fire truck and learning about
the important job they do every day. It really helps the boys and girls begin
to understand that the firefighters are helpful.
